A classic old hotel, no longer does the highway run past it. It recently has been re painted and upgraded sympathetically. Has a beautiful cedar stair case, to accommodation upstairs. Budget meals providing you buy a drink. Fish chips and a very tasty salad for $7, I had the grilled Barramundi for $10 perfectly cooked. Spacious dining room called the cedar in honour of the staircase which I believe was made from 1 tree. Service friendly and prompt. Well worth a stopover in the lovely village of Macksville mid north coast of NSW.
